Angola High School students had the opportunity to earn college credit through the Angola HS Early College program. The program is designed to help students get a jump start on a college degree by encouraging students to complete the Indiana College Core (ICC). The ICC is an Indiana initiative that helps students earn the equivalent to 1 year of a college degree. The ICC consists of general education core courses that are part of the Indiana Core Transfer Library. Angola Early College students work towards completing the ICC through high school dual credits, AP courses, and Dual Enrollment opportunities with Ivy Tech Community College and Trine University.
The Class of 2024 had 25 students participate in the AHS Early College program. Katherine Crankshaw, Vince Gilbert, Anya Shannon, and Makayla Zeep completed over 60 credits to earn an associate degree in General Studies. Aden Stanko earned an associate degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in welding. The following students all completed over 30 credits, Maxwell Brando, Ava Budak, Kylie Caswell, Baylee Chapman,Sophia Deem, Cooper Dunlap, Dayanna Flores Juarez, Wylie Fredrick, Ava Henderson,Isac Hill, Sara Kelley, Oliver Koch, Taylor Little, Karly Nelson, Maggie OBeirne, Isabelle Rinard, Anya Shannon, Leah Snyder, Kailey Tirador, Mackenzee Wombacher, Avery Young.
