Farmers State Bank proudly presented the MSD of Steuben County with a generous check for $18,000, designated to enhance their fine arts programs. The presentation took place with Superintendent Matt Widenhoefer, AHS Principal Travis Heavin, and AMS Principal Nancy Irwin receiving the check from Farmers State Bank representatives Nicole Lovett, Jojo Mase, and Nichole Marple.
Nancy Irwin shared plans to initially use the funds to purchase new choir outfits for competitions and performances. Meanwhile, Travis Heavin expressed that the drama program would also benefit from this support. The high school and middle school share choir teacher Ryan VanAntwerp and theater teacher Cady Davidson, while AHS Band Director Bob Myers assists Middle School Band Director Shanna Lank. Additionally, the district's art programs are enriched by the efforts of Beth Thomas and Pam Metcalf at the high school, Nora Majors at the middle school, and Taylor Rigsby at the elementary schools.
